The SpeedWash Story
SpeedWash began with one small self-serve wash in Leitchfield, Kentucky and a hands-on belief that better car care could be built from the ground up. Today, that same work ethic carries through every location—local ownership, steady growth, and a team focused on giving every guest a fast, professional wash they can count on.

From Kleen Sheen to Speed wash
SpeedWash traces its roots back to 1992, when Chris Harrison and his father, Leon, opened Kleen Sheen Auto Wash in Leitchfield, Kentucky (pictured here). What started as a small self-serve wash grew into a larger vision as Chris saw the need for a better car wash experience in Bowling Green.
From the earliest locations, Chris and Leon were deeply involved in the work themselves—using their own equipment, long days, and hands-on know-how to bring each wash to life. That same grit still shapes Speedwash today as a locally owned company built around quality, consistency, and care for every guest.
Expanding with purpose
SpeedWash has grown to serve more communities across Kentucky and Southern Indiana without losing sight of what built it: disciplined operations, safe and clean sites, dependable customer service, and a team that takes pride in the details.
Guests come for a clean vehicle, but the experience matters too—from a friendly greeting to quick service and the small touches people remember after they leave the lot.
